Market Spotlight: Atlanta, Modern Boomtown
The real estate investment market in any city is based upon the two factors: population and jobs. Atlanta is poised for growth in both. Being home to a regional office of nearly every company in the Fortune 100, Atlanta also boasts the world headquarters of firms such as Coca-Cola, Home Depot, and Delta Airlines. Anchored by such job providing companies, Atlanta has had an impressive run of economic growth and population explosion seen by very few cities in such a short span in history. For investors looking for the short-term cash flow strategy, Atlanta’s rent ranges are holding steady in the current market. While the decline in housing prices has taken its toll here, bargain hunters are able to get positive gains in areas where the rent ranges at one time never would have covered their monthly debt service. Investor Nation Opens Office in Portland
To follow up, Investor Nation opened an office in Portland on July 20. Northwest Region Director Jason Dunn will be bringing years of residential real estate and business experience to the Portland office. He owned Portland Construction and Portland Fine Cabinetry, a commercial and residential remodeling company and custom cabinet shop, for ten years. During this time, he owned single family, apartments, and mobile home parks. In 1994, he began real estate investing full time as a career.
